¡Ay Caramba!                                                                                 (last updated June 10, 2014)

Way back in 2006 I created a game called ¡Ay Carumba! for learning Spanish. It could be played as a board game with cards similar to Trivial Pursuit, or as a points game similar to Yahtzee. I enjoyed creating the game back then, so this seemed a natural to reuse some old materials in a new format. And so, ¡Ay Carumba! for Android was born. Since I already had the game materials written I only had to convert the physical game to the Android platform.

This is why I enjoy creating stuff. Before there was nothing, and now there is a game for Android phones and tablets. This game is based on basic Activities and XML layouts. Nothing fancy here, just straightforward functionality. No saving high scores or saving of any settings. Just play the game and repeat as desired!

Here are some screen shots (landscape mode uses different xml files and is formatted differently):

This game has two versions: a free demo version that will have only 3 questions for each category, and a full-featured version with more than 100 questions per category that will cost $1.99.  I hope this proves useful to people who want to learn Spanish.
This website documents my love of programming.  I hope it is useful and entertaining for you to read.
